
What is Reiki?
Reiki is a very gentle and non-invasive form of energy healing, in which the practitioner’s hands are placed just off the body or lightly touching the body. This beautiful form of energy healing originated in Japan with Dr. Mikao Usui. Over the last century, it has become widely accepted as an effective form of alternative healing in the West.
Rei– is Universal and omnipresent which means it is present everywhere at the same time. Reiki is spiritual consciousness, the omnipresent wisdom from a higher presence, the Infinite Intelligence, Divine energy, or the Higher Self.
Ki– is non-physical vitality that gives life to all living things. Ki energy can be activated for the purpose of healing. When Ki energy is high you feel healthy and full of enthusiasm. Life is fun, you can easily solve life’s problems, and you are more resilient to disease. However, when you are stressed, your Ki energy is low, you will feel tired and more susceptible to disease. Your attitude will generally be negative, and you will find it difficult to deal with life challenges.
As the reiki master, I channel the universal life force through my hands to the client’s energy and surrounding healing space. Reiki encourages the client to relax and to go through meditation and guided visualisations. Combined with the reiki master, one can connect with their ability to heal.
One of the primary benefits of a Reiki session is relaxation. When we relax, our muscles become less tense, and our blood pressure, heart and respiratory rate become lower. This response is the opposite of the “fight or flight” stress response. Instead, Reiki works to help you achieve a deep state of mental and physiological rest.

How many sessions should I receive?
Depending on why you make time for a Reiki treatment you may need one session or a series of sessions. Four sessions is a traditional recommendation and gives you time to evaluate what benefits you are receiving. Allowing at least a week in between each of your Reiki treatments creates space for you to consciously and subconsciously process the treatment. Reiki continues to work through you after the treatment session. The beneficial effects of the treatment continue to integrate into your being days after your session.
Receiving regular Reiki treatments is an excellent form of self-care and helps you to maintain holistic balance.

Each Reiki Session lasts around 45 – 60 minutes, depending on whether you wish to include Crystal Healing or Chakra Healing as well.
45 minute session = £30
60 minute session = £40
